Enosemi, a Hamamatsu Ventures portfolio company, has been acquired by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
We are pleased to announce that Enosemi has been acquired by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), an American hardware and fabless computing company known for CPUs, GPUs, and other high-performance computing products.
Enosemi developed silicon photonics and electronics integrated circuits for a variety of markets, including optical communications and sensing. Hamamatsu Ventures invested in Enosemi to accelerate the development of integrated photonics business opportunities for Hamamatsu Photonics.
The Enosemi team will now lead co-packaged optics innovation inside of AMD and we expect great developments from them in the years ahead.
